Clearwater Economic Development Association (CEDA) is a non-profit corporation based in Lewiston, ID that promotes and assists economic and community development and fosters a stable and diversified economy within Clearwater, Latah, Lewis, Idaho, and Nez Perce Counties.

Responsibilities: This position is a lead role providing project development services to north central Idaho communities. This position works as part of the CEDA team developing, managing, and administering community and regional projects. The work CEDA does makes a visible difference across our region. Duties include:

  • Project Development: Work with clients to conceptualize a project, develop goals and funding resources, and coordinate activities for successful project implementation. Areas include public infrastructure, community facilities, studies, and broadband.
  • Grant Writing: Develop and submit funding applications, such as Idaho Community Development Block Grants.
  • Grant Administration: Successfully perform activities related to grant compliance. Coordinate with grantors to clarify program regulations and ensure program compliance. Review and monitor budgets, labor compliance, payment requests, and fiscal reports on assigned projects and prepare relevant reports.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and sustain relationships with funding agencies, local government officials, community groups, and others to identify project needs and opportunities, develop solution options, organize and manage planning groups, and identify and solicit the help of experts needed for project development and implementation.
  • Project Support: Assist on the development side of local and regional planning projects.
  • Event Support: Assist in planning and execution of CEDA events.

Skills and Abilities:

· Strong and effective verbal and written communication.

· Project management capabilities.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Proven experience to work cooperatively as a team member.

· Ability to develop knowledge of funding resources that support community-based projects.

· Capacity to work with data, manipulate data, and manage files.

· Ability to travel and attend day and evening meetings as required within the region.

· Obtain Idaho Community Development Block Grant administrator certification (training provided).

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degreeand/or transferable experience to meet the responsibilities and skills for the position. Preferred qualifications include two (2) years’ employment in project development and grant writing in a public/nonprofit setting. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required to meet job-related transportation needs; mileage reimbursed.

Compensation: $52,000 to $60,000 DOE. CEDA offers a medical/dental/vision plan, 12 paid holidays, paid annual leave, and an employer-matched 401k retirement plan.
