Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment. As the Director of Nursing I, you will oversee inpatient services at Martin South Hospital including a 16-bed Orthopedic Unit, a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU), a 16-bed Telemetry Unit and an 8-bed Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). You will also be responsible for an 18-bed Emergency Department. In these areas, you will direct the organization, coordination and administration of patient care as well as serve as a resource to nurse managers, clinical specialists, educators and staff regarding nursing practice. The Director of Nursing needs to be a strong leader that takes initiative, focuses on quality, builds great relationships with all caregivers the department interacts with, knows how to build and pull in shared governance and wants to see the team grow. A caregiver in this position works from 8:00AM – 5:00PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Direct the organization, coordination and administration of patient care. Serve as a resource to Nurse Managers, Clinical Specialists, educators and other nursing caregivers. Oversee daily operations in conjunction with Nurse Managers. Ensure that nursing and clinical practice are in accordance with the philosophy, standards and goals. Assist with directing, coordinating and managing nursing areas. Collaborate with the leadership team regarding budget review, personnel management, productivity monitoring and caregiver development. Monitor adherence to Cleveland Clinic and the Nursing Institute’s policies and procedures. Promote ongoing professional development of caregivers at all levels. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Master’s Degree Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Four years of recent clinical experience One year of healthcare management experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Clinical experience in inpatient care, an emergency department or surgical services Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
