As a Laboratory Assistant, you will work with the microbiology team that offers comprehensive testing for patients with infectious diseases.A caregiver in this position works a day / evening rotation of 10 : 00am - 7 : 00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will : Perform various laboratory procedures.Assist with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing, transporting and storing specimens.Operate laboratory equipment and perform routine instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and minor repairs.Perform quality assurance activities.Maintain adequate stock of supplies and manage the inventory by transporting and distributing supplies.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include : High school diploma or pletion of three months of on-the-job training to learn department laboratory procedures, instrumentation and Cleveland Clinic policies.Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
