What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialty Program RN position at Cleveland Clinic?
In support of the organizational program, provides services to the organization's employees and community in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and tracks compliance programs to meet standards of regulatory agencies for the health and safety of employees and community.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or
- Graduate of an A.R.C.-approved Physician Assistant Program.
Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Ohio or
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA (or successor).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Complexity of Work:
- Requires excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills.
- Substantial nursing and medical knowledge across relevant therapeutic areas.
- Must work effectively with all health care disciplines.
Work Experience:
- None required.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires normal or corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: active or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and /or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
