IT Coordinator
Cleveland County Water (CCW) is a Sanitary District located in Cleveland County, NC. CCW is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of GIS Coordinator. CCW serves public water supply to a population of 60,000 and has over 22,000 active accounts.
The IT Coordinator position plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates technological needs of the District. Performs complex professional and technical work in the procurement, installation and configuration, and maintenance of the District’s network systems, hardware, software and support of the data center, computers, phone systems and related systems. Work is performed under the general direction of the Finance Director and performance is evaluated on the basis of attainment of specific performance objectives, personal observation, feedback from department managers and employees.
Thorough knowledge of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and Internet software, hardware, and configuration development; thorough knowledge of operations, capabilities, and maintenance of hardware, software and networking applications; thorough knowledge of network development methods and technologies; thorough knowledge of network operations, security, backup and disaster recovery; ability to perform complex analytical assessment of technology; ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate technological needs of the District; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users, department heads, external agencies, and vendors; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Qualifications require graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent current industry certifications.
Possession of a valid driver’s license in the State of North Carolina
