The Graphic Designer is responsible for fulfilling a variety of creative duties for the University while promoting the CUKC mission and staying consistent with the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visual designs for marketing materials while following brand standards, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, and other promotional materials
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the organization's products, services, and target audience to effectively communicate their value.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to ensure designs align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Conceptualize and develop design ideas for new projects and services.
- Work with printers and other vendors to ensure high-quality print production and brand consistency.
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand image across all materials.
- Stay up-to-date on design trends, best practices and tools.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Communicate and present design ideas and concepts to the marketing team and other stakeholders.
- Submit invoices for approval
- Assist with ordering apparel and promotional items for other departments.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field OR 4 years of graphic design-related experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills and ability to create visually appealing designs.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of print production processes and techniques.
- Working knowledge of scaling images for social media platforms, email and web usage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinker with a passion for graphic design and staying up-to-date on industry trends.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with CMS, HTML, CSS and project management tools preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required
