What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher (Toddlers) position at Clever Oaks Montessori School?
Our school is currently seeking an assistant teacher for our Montessori toddler classroom (2 years-3.5 years old). This schedule for this role is from approximately 8:00am - 3:30pm with a 30-min lunch break.
The Assistant Teacher supports the Teacher and/or Lead Teacher in planning and implementing the daily routine for children, supervises the class when the Lead is out of the room, helps with lunch time, and assists in maintaining a clean and orderly room. The ideal applicant is patient, kind, reliable and hard-working. Early childhood experience is preferred.
Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must clear a federal and local background check
- Must have or be willing to obtain 45 hours of DCF Child Care Courses
- Previous experience in a classroom setting is a plus!
