Position: Hotel House Person
Department: Hotel/Lodge
Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor
Rate of Pay: $15.25
Summary: Responsible for attending to the cleaning and stocking needs of guest rooms in assigned area(s) of the Hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities: Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:
- Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuum, and cleans assigned areas of the Hotel.
- Scrubs, waxes and strips floors as assigned.
- Sweeps stairwells, parking lot, and attends to other special projects as requested.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture and draperies as needed.
- Empties wastebaskets; empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and dirty linen to designated areas.
- Assists in the minor maintenance of guestrooms and public areas of the Hotel such as: changing light bulbs, unplugging toilets, etc. and report problems that need further attention to the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor.
- Responds promptly to a Guest's request (i.e., delivering blow dryers, irons and ironing boards, roll away beds, extra towels, etc.).
- Pack amenities for Guest rooms into caddies and delivers same to all floors of the Hotel.
- Stocks and maintains linen and supply rooms.
- Properly tags lost and found items and delivers them to the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor for storage.
- Adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Able to obtain a valid non-gaming license.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
- Must maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
