Position Title: SUD Program Manager
Department: Substance Use Disorder
Position Reports to: Program Director
Position Summary:
The Substance Use Disorder Manager is a team leader that assists Program Director in an out-patient/intensive outpatient drug and alcohol program and will be called upon to assist Program Director to coordinate the efforts of the out-patient staff and referring agencies. Supports in supervising the daily operations of the SUD department. The ideal candidate is creative, results oriented, and has a strong background in program management.
Responsibilities:
Program management:
- Assists Program Director in Coordinating the efforts of the out-patient drug and alcohol program(s)
- Assists Program Director with managing interns, volunteers and drug /alcohol testers
- Ensures that the goals and objectives of the program(s) are coordinated on a day-to-day basis and keep Program Director updated
- Provides Clinic / Department internal reporting
- Coordinates with Program Director SUD staff trainings, case conferences and employee one on one meetings
- Responsible for general overseeing of all billing and insures weekly outcomes are being met and discussed with Program Director
- Responsible for county surveys, Calom reporting and all other mandatory reporting required by County/State
- Responsible for coordinating Quality Assurance staff and insures program is meeting all requirements from County and State to insure successful audits.
- Responsible outreach calendar/schedule to insure we have new intakes
- Insures new employees, interns and volunteers are trained, provided orientation and on boarded
- Facilitate, plan, teach, schedule, and lead educational programs/classes conducted on site for program participants and their families.
- Responsible for written reports and recommendations either to the judicial system or the Department of Children and Family Services.
- Responsible for documenting the daily progress of clients and for ensuring that their records reflect their daily activities.
- Insures our DMC certification is current and in good standing
- Insures our AOD certification is current and in good standing
- Facilitate/teach regular scheduled group sessions conducted at the agency/site.
- Facilitate individual (one on one) paraprofessional/ family counseling sessions.
- Responsible for caseload of Clients and ensuring that clients’ needs are addressed either by the Prevention Specialist or with a referral to an entity that will assist client.
- Attends county and internal/external meeting when requested by Program Director
- Responsible for drug and alcohol testing and insures all tests are meeting program requirements
Community Relations:
- Oversee outreach activities to insure
- Build relationships within the community to assist in building Clinica's programs
- Interfacing with the Los Angeles community on the risks and dangers of drug and alcohol
- Establishing a relationship with other community based organizations, Department of Children and Family Services, parole department, probation department and the judicial system.
- Liaise with either the Department of Children and Family Services and the judicial system for referrals and to communicate the progress of mutual clients as deemed by contracts.
Administration:
- Responsible for developing a client treatment plan and ensuring that the plan is seen through completion.
- Responsible for writing and delivering of a curriculum approved by the County of Los Angeles.
- Identify, recommends and/or creates educational materials to be used for the participants of the program. These materials will include both English and Spanish language appropriate materials.
- Provide written reports of activities to the County of Los Angeles as indicated by the Program Director.
- Complete other tasks, from time to time be identified and assigned by the Medical Director
Qualifications:
- Certified substance use disorder counselor
- Must have C-number.
- Certification in Clinical Supervision related to SUD preferred but not required.
- Must have knowledge and experience working with the Los Angeles County Plan for Alcohol-Related Services.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in human services/community based organization programs specifically dealing with alcohol and drug abuse prevention and recovery issues.
- Must have experience in either coordinating or directing an out-patient drug and alcohol program.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of the recovery process, which includes the twelve step program(s).
- Must have experience with developing a curriculum for group classes to assist with recovery.
- Must have experience case managing clients in recovery.
- Must have experience in observed drug testing of clients.
- Must have experience with SAPC (substance abuse prevention control) billing procedures.
- Prior responsibility for self-directed work including work in prevention, education, and recovery areas.
Salary : $64,480 - $80,000
