Job Summary: The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in the acute, skilled care, and/or urgent care setting. The RN demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population served. The RN coordinates patient care, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, by developing and implementing the plan of care. He/she communicates with the physician about changes in patient's condition, including clinical findings and diagnostic results, and can respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. He/she participates in performance improvement and clinical quality initiatives (CQI) activities. The RN directs and supervises care delivered by other healthcare personnel as outlined by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Additionally, he/she can perform general nursing duties in all assigned departments.
Compliance:
Understand and comply with the requirements of the CRH Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance, and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities. Participates in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by CRH policy.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Completion of an accredited nursing program, Associate’s Degree or Higher.
Experience: 0-2 years’ experience in an acute care setting preferred; not required.
Certificates, License, Registrations: Successful passing of the National Council Licensure
Examination for Registered Nurses, BLS, PALS, and ACLS for the Healthcare Provider required.

- Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring; identifies dysrhythmias and treas appropriately based upon BLS/ACLS/PALS protocols.
- Consults other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to patients’ needs.
- Communicates effectively and appropriate to medical staff, coworkers, and leadership.
- Delegates care tasks, as appropriate and within guidelines, to licensed and unlicensed staff.
