Description
The Physician Practice Administrator is responsible for the clinical and operational oversight of assigned provider practice(s). The Physician Practice Administrator works in collaboration with the Director of Physician Services, other Practice Administrators, and Office Leads to maximize practice efficiency, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and service line growth. Responsible for leadership of one or more Office Leads.
Qualifications
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.
- Minimum of 3 years in physician practice management or similar healthcare setting, with specific leadership experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned practices
2. Ensures that care is delivered in each patient in accordance applicable compliance and quality standards
3. Provides for orientation in-service education training, and continuing education of all persons in the department(s).
4. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, corrective actions and termination of employees
5. Manage physician schedules.
6. Handle employee and physician relations within each assigned practice.
7. Ensure practices are adhering to CMH/Scion policies and procedures.
8. Monitor assigned practices and collaborate with other practice leaders and the Director of Physician Services to ensure fiscal responsibility and adherence to annual practice budgets.
9. Provide leadership to Office Leads, including performance management, coaching and talent development, with at least weekly communication.
10. Monitor practices for efficiencies to reduce practice investment to include, but not limited to, accounts receivable oversight, budgeting, charge capture, and budget oversight.
11. Regular and reliable attendance.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
