Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Under the Supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of the Maintenance department. Such activities include but are not limited to: performing maintenance, repairs and alterations on Cirrus, Piper, Cessna, Diamond, Beechcraft Aircraft. Perform duties as assigned in accordance with Part 145 repair station procedures. Be able to support AOG call outs as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Position Description:

• Perform assigned maintenance tasks as directed.
• Perform AOG call outs as Directed.
• Ensure shop cleanliness at the end of each workday.
• Coordinate all parts needed with the Parts Manager.
• Ensure accountability of all personal tooling.
• Complete all maintenance documentation in accordance with repair station procedures at completion of work.

Qualifications:

• 2 years experience in general aviation, preferably within a part 145 repair station.
• Experience working on King Air, Turboprop driven aircraft preferred.
• Experience working on single and twin piston engine aircraft preferred.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (preferred) or equivalent work experience and training required
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and/or adjust to rapidly changing business needs
• Proficient computer skills

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Proficient use of hand tools preferred.
