Clockwork is hiring a Client Strategist with a depth of experience delivering successful client engagements in collaboration with a cross-functional delivery team.
Clockwork seeks a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our Client Success team. Experience working in an agency environment, managing projects that deliver digital products, and using agile methodologies are preferred but not required.
This role reports to the Director of Client Success.
Position Description
Client Strategists are the primary connection between our clients and Clockwork. They play a critical role as delivery team leaders, builders of relationships, advocates for our clients, and champions of Clockwork through empathetic interactions, effective project management, and strategic leadership. They are versatile, personable, and resilient. Client Strategists foster best practices in leading their teams and clients through the unknown. They see opportunities to deliver outcomes and apply those skills to maintain a portfolio of healthy clients. They are decisive, calm and confident in stressful situations and create flexible structure and alignment at every opportunity. Client Strategists lead project planning and project management with their Clockwork teams.
The Primary Accountabilities of a Clockwork Client Strategist
Client Strategy accountabilities are organized around primary focus and areas of impact. All Client Strategists must deliver in all four impact areas to meet expectations. These are the main areas of influence for the Client Strategy team at Clockwork:
- Project Management
- Delivery Team Leadership
- Product Strategy
- Account Strategy & Management
Client Strategists drive product strategy and guide execution through project management. They create and grow impactful relationships with our clients through account strategy & management. They lead delivery teams by providing clarity and motivation and enabling them to do their best work.
In this role, you:
- Ensure alignment with our clients and your delivery team throughout project engagements
- Ensure successful delivery of project outcomes to clients.
- Create project plans and timelines and ensure delivery is on time.
- Proactively manage project budgets and profit margins.
- Predict project risks (timeline-, budget-, or delivery-related), identify mitigation tactics, and communicate with clients and Clockwork leadership transparently.
- Understand the problems the project or product is intended to solve for the client's business and users. Use this understanding to guide the client and team toward right-sized decisions that are in service of solving the problems.
- Lead and prioritize the efforts of a cross-functional team, including road mapping and collaborative sprint planning.
- Serve as the liaison between clients, the delivery team, and Clockwork leadership.
- Envision and articulate a definition of success for client engagements and inspire the team toward that vision.
- Deliver outcomes on various engagements, including experience design and product development, experience and technology consulting, and business transformation.
- Ensure client relationships are healthy, fostering an environment of trust.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with client organizations of varying size, industry, and complexity.
- Demonstrate skilled knowledge of various delivery methodologies and their impact on supporting client goals.
- Monitor and forecast team capacity.
- Seeking out and growing opportunities with existing clients and partnering with Business Development to bring additional work to the team. This often includes helping to define, estimate, and sell work to existing clients, including writing statements of work.

Salary : $95,000 - $115,000
