A skilled Nurse Practitioner - Pain Management to join our clinic in Katy, TX. This role will focus on providing comprehensive care for patients managing chronic pain in an inpatient setting, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in pain management and be committed to improving the quality of life for patients through innovative, evidence-based care. Duties / Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive pain management services to patients in an inpatient setting.
- Conduct thorough evaluations, assess pain levels, and develop personalized care plans for hospitalized patients with chronic pain.
- Prescribe and manage pain medications, including opioids, as part of a safe and effective treatment plan for inpatients.
- Implement and monitor non-pharmacological treatments, such as physical therapy, injections, and other interventions, tailored to inpatient care.
- Educate patients on pain management techniques, lifestyle changes, and coping strategies during their hospital stay.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, physical therapists, psychologists, etc.) to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care in an inpatient environment.
- Perform follow-up visits, track treatment progress, and adjust plans as needed during the hospitalization period.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and inpatient standards.
- Provide patient education on the risks and benefits of various pain management strategies, including medication management, within the inpatient care framework.
