Job Description:
This role is perfect for someone who’s hands-on, resourceful, and takes pride in their work. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing both fitness equipment and the physical space of our gyms. You’ll handle a wide range of general maintenance tasks across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair gym/fitness equipment (cardio, strength, and selectorized machines)
- Perform general building maintenance including:
- Tile repair and replacement
- Drywall patching and finishing
- Interior painting and touch-ups
- Basic plumbing (toilets, sinks, fixtures)
- Low-voltage electrical (TVs, lighting, outlets)
- Conduct regular upkeep to ensure locations are safe, clean, and functional
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Maintain a professional, organized approach to tool storage and task tracking
Requirements:
- Proven handyman or maintenance experience (commercial or gym experience preferred)
- Strong mechanical skills, especially with fitness equipment
- Solid knowledge of general repair work: tile, drywall, paint, plumbing, and electrical
- Must have own tools and access to all necessary tools for repair and maintenance work
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work independently
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
