Description
Summary:
Performs general custodial and routine maintenance work in the casino and adjacent outside areas. Keeps all equipment in a clean, orderly, and functional condition. Aids staff, guests, and management as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).
- Performs minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs
- Follows daily assignment sheet
- Provides touch up and finishing paint as needed
- Daily grounds maintenance
- Follows all safety rules and procedures
- Follows oral or written direction from management
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- 1-year experience in Maintenance or Facilities within casino environment preferred
Language Ability:
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English language – speak and read
Math Ability:
- Basic math skills required
Reasoning Ability:
- Experience working with variety of tools for repair/maintenance
- Must be able to work at a steady pace to ensure that department schedule is kept
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to work well with others and with minimum supervision
- Good customer service skills and employee relations skills
Computer Skills:
Familiar with Microsoft Office software preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75lbs occasionally
- Ability to handle and repair heavy-duty equipment
- Must be able to push and pull heavy duty equipment
- Prolonged walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching and kneeling without
- restriction
- Ability to withstand working with chemicals and noise of equipment
- Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, and other confined areas
Licenses:
Must be able to obtain a SNHD Food Handler card and have a valid Drivers License.
