Job Summary

Typical shifts could be day shift 5:30am-2pm, afternoon shift 2pm-10:30pm, and overnight shift 9:30pm-5:30am or 8pm-4am. This position may be asked to work repeated weekends (2 out of 3), depending on operational need. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility primarily by performing the following: Cleaning and maintain the various floor surfaces in the facility, cleaning and sanitizing rooms (such as locker rooms, conference rooms, halls, and other areas), supporting surgery cleaning after hours, transporting waste to dumpsters and collection areas, transporting dirty linen to the collection area, keeping eternal walkways clear of snow and other debris, and other duties as assigned. Maintains required department log sheets, insuring CMH safety measures.

Requirements: High School diploma or GED required. Individuals must be self-directed, must possess good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team atmosphere, have the ability to learn and operate various equipment used in the performance of the duties, have the ability to learn and use a personal computer and appropriate software in the performance of the job duties.
