What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Technician position at CMI Healthcare Services?
Job Duties:
• Assist with contributing to a healthy recovery environment in a residential treatment environment for persons with a substance abuse or a co-occurring disorder.
• Display professional boundaries when monitoring and interacting with the residents in the therapeutic community.
• Attend staff meetings and training's as scheduled to build awareness in the area of substance use disorders and mental health in order to ensure that appropriate interactions with resident population.
• Display professionalism when answering phones, gathering demographics, or interacting with community partners.
• Serve as a coach to assist the residents along their treatment journey while supporting the program commitment
• Follow Licensure standards to insure that the facility remains in compliance.
• Model and supervise general housekeeping, life skills duties to maintain the cleanliness of facility.
• Assist and monitor residents with meal preparation while ensuring that residents receive meals/snacks on timely basis.
• Monitor medication regime and ensure that all resident prescriptions are secure.
• Document regarding critical incidents and events occurring on shift in the daily shift relate log to ensure a consistent flow of information from shift to shift.
• Notify Program Supervisor of unusual or critical events occurring with residents and/or facility that may adversely impact the treatment milieu.
• Perform drug screen, property search of resident belonging to maintain a safe treatment environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident information.
• Safely transport residents to applicable recreation/medical/social activities or court appointments using agency transportation.
• Prompt residents to keep respective appointments for medical/supportive services.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION: Minimum of High School Diploma / G.E.D required. CPR, CPI, Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and CADC training preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Must have F Endorsed license; Medical Assistant with substance abuse experience or Peer Recovery Specialist, or persons with knowledge in the area of addiction or co-occurring disorders through personal or professional experience preferred.
