Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer (TWIC required)

CMK Resources is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer for a high-impact network infrastructure rollout. This is a hands-on, field-based contract ideal for a senior-level Network Engineer with a TWIC or someone actively obtaining one. You'll play a key role in a full switch refresh, wireless bridge updates, and LTE/MEC router provisioning across multiple terminal sites.

• Location: On-site across Port of Houston terminals
• Duration: 3 months

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Replace legacy Cisco switches with new Cisco equipment per Port-approved standards
• Configure VLANs, SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow, and trunking
• Update SolarWinds and Splunk configurations across all network devices
• Roll out LTE SIMs and MEC routing configs on IE1835 routers in RTG cranes
• Travel between all 8 Port of Houston sites for hands-on staging, validation, and documentation
• Maintain accurate asset inventories and update network diagrams
• Collaborate with internal IT and Operations teams on schedule-sensitive deployments

Requirements:

• TWIC card — or active proof of application
• Strong Cisco networking skills — troubleshooting, configuration, replacement, and validation
• Comfort working across multiple port terminal sites
• Familiarity with wireless bridge VLAN/IP updates
• Experience using SolarWinds for network diagramming and monitoring
• Working knowledge of Splunk for log forwarding and analysis
