We are currently seeking qualified candidates in our Conventional Lathe Department. We are focused on establishing a second shift to not only fulfill our business needs but follow safety guidelines suggested by the State of Pennsylvania to limit occupancy of essential businesses.
The Conventional Lathe Operator Level 1 produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Requirements
Responsibilities
• Run jobs as programmed, record job activity as well as accurate part counts
• Use basic measuring equipment & perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) measurements
• Load raw materials into lathe
• Maintain coolant sump and chip conveyer
• Perform basic lathe maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area complying with all Safety and ISO standards
• Other duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of CNC machines
• Knowledge and use of basic hand tools
• Ability to read blueprints and understand instructions
• Ability to identify and prepare raw stock
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, visual acuity
• Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 50 pounds
• Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
