Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Utility Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing design work for electric and / or gas new construction, capital maintenance, and system improvements. Your primary duties will include project initiation, preparation of new improvement designs, cost estimation, and contract management. You will establish and maintain business relationships with clients while guiding them through the company’s New Business Process, ensuring their needs and expectations for utility designs are met.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform design work for electric and / or gas new construction, capital maintenance, and system improvements.
- Initiate and manage projects, preparing detailed designs for new improvement projects.
- Develop accurate cost estimates and contracts for projects.
- Establish project-specific business relationships and facilitate clients through the company’s New Business Process.
- Identify and address customer needs and expectations for electric and / or gas utility design projects.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of company standards, tariffs, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with higher-level administrators to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
