The ideal candidate will have experience in transmission line design and be proficient in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE. This role involves designing and analyzing transmission lines, preparing engineering deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transmission line design using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
- Conduct structure analysis, sag-tension calculations, and line rating assessments.
- Develop plan and profile drawings, foundation designs, and material specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural engineers for project execution.
- Support permitting, right-of-way, and environmental compliance efforts.
- Provide engineering support during construction and address field modifications.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards (NESC, ASCE, IEEE, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or related field).
- 5 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of NESC and IEEE standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
