Our mission is to help our children grow in wisdom (offering tutoring opportunities for academic success) and stature (feeding proper nutrition with snacks/meals and wellness activities) and in favor with God (sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ) and man (instilling young men and women with Godly character).
Job purpose
The Site Director is to plan and implement programs and build effective relationships with staff, children, partners, and parents to fulfill the ministry and mission of Coalition For Kids.
Duties and responsibilities
· Manage communication software for program
· Manage reports, facilitate activities and curriculum required for grants
· Attend all appropriate meetings and events
· Attend bi-weekly meeting with Director of Programming and Director of Program Development
· Conduct weekly group meetings and individual staff meetings with tutors
· Participate in required trainings
· Check mailboxes and emails daily for communication and program direction
· Communication with;
o Director of Programming and Director of Program Development on any staff or programming issues
o School personnel, parents and partners with changes in scheduling
o Parents, school personnel regarding the progress or regress of students
o Child Advocacy with any issues regarding abuse and/or neglect or visits by Department of Children Services representatives
· Provide a safe environment and oversee children’s daily activities
· Provide one on one attention to students who are having trouble in group settings
· Oversee AKC staff and provide support when necessary
· Complete correction paperwork for all issues regarding the site, communicate with Director of Programming and other involved Site Director the issues for potential problems
· Create documents and supplemental materials to be used in programs and submit to Director of Programming for final approval
· Maintain and update student emergency contact information
· Direct and oversee volunteers, report any issues of volunteers to the Director of Community Outreach
· Submit volunteer hours to Director of Community Outreach each month
· Maintain daily records to be submitted to appropriate support staff monthly i.e. attendance, sign in/sign out, transportation logs, meal calendar, time sheets and monthly reports etc.
· Oversee snack pickups and meal times and complete appropriate paperwork daily
· Establish an effective, positive, personal and team relationships with schools parents and staff
• Set a positive Christian example in word, actions, attitudes and relationships
• If 21 years of age or older it is mandatory to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) to manage your site
• CDL licensed personnel and monitors are required to follow transportation procedures and responsibilities
• Full time Site Directors will be assigned committee’s to serve on such as parent involvement.
Qualifications
Site Directors must meet one of the following criteria:
· High School diploma and four years full-time work experience with young children in a group setting;
· Four years of college and one full time work experience with young children in a group setting; or
· Two years if college with at least 30 hours in business or management, child or youth development, early education or related field and two years full time work experience with young children in a group setting.
Additional qualifications for the Site Director;
· A working cellphone for daily communication
· A valid Driver’s License
· Computer experience with knowledge of email and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
· Clear verbal and good written communication skills
· Able to demonstrate time management, organizational skills and flexibility
· Demonstrate leadership qualities
Site Directors will complete:
· Background Check
· Physical and Drug Screen
· New Hire paperwork and orientation
· Four hours pre-employment training
· Commercial Driver’s License for Site Directors 21 years and older
· 30 hours of TECTA Administration Classes
· CPR and First-Aid Certified
Working conditions
This position would be full-time or part-time. It is a seasonal position based off of the county’s school academic calendar. Work availability must be flexible Monday-Friday.
Physical requirements
The Site Director must be physically healthy enough to walk extended periods of time, play with children, and lift up to 50 pounds.
