Accounts Receivable Processor
Mellenville (Hudson), NY
Pay Rate: $20.34 per hour
Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch
Non-exempt position
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Accounts Receivable Processor is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial operations. The Accounts Receivable Processor must comply with established policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform the day-to-day processing of financial transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
- Bill or voucher to all necessary funding sources for all Agency services rendered
- Prepare, verify, and process invoices for all Agency services rendered
- Collect and process all checks/cash received on a daily basis for deposit to Agency bank account
- Verify coding of payments and enter into computerized accounting system as cash receipts
- Keep adequate records for data input into Agency computerized accounting system
- Maintain updated customer files/accounts receivable financial documents filing system
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned by Financial Office Manager
REQUIRMENTS OF POSITION
- High School Diploma
- 2-3 years' experience in business or accounts receivable
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Computer skills including but not limited to: operation of computerized accounting, spreadsheet, word processing programs, and email- at a highly proficient level
- Ability to sit, have intense concentration, and use office equipment /computers for long hours of time in a busy open office setting
- Ability to lift office supplies and materials from time to time
