Pharmacy Technician - Full time

Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our unique pharmacy, You will assist in the preparation of medications under the direction of a pharmacist -- more than putting pills in a bottle, we make things from scratch. NO WEEKENDS, NO LATE NIGHTS. Pharmacy hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Customer service for walk in patients and over the phone
• Prepare, process and end-package medications
• Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
• Process prescriptions using computer software
• Label and record dosage information
• Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
• Light housekeeping and assisting with filing, copying, etc.
  
  

Qualifications:

• PTCB certification recommended, but not necessary; registration with Georgia Board of Pharmacy required.
• Must have previous experience in pharmacy
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
