Purchasing & Warehouse Manager
As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for warehouse goods & services, sourcing equipment, and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Helping assure that the company generates the budgeted gross margin by purchasing equipment and parts at the lowest prices.
- Managing inventory software pricing updates
- Maintaining inventory across Coastal Energy's three office locations
- Delivering/parts running material to job sites or technicians if required
- Making sure that all purchases have a purchase order and are properly marked as to which department/technician they should be charged to.
- Arranging for efficient deliveries via distributors of parts and equipment to installers and technicians. An installer or technician should go to a supply house only as a last resort.
- Work closely with dispatch and operations manager, make every possible effort to keep them on the job working and not picking up parts.
- Replenishing truck stock using the truck replenishment reports. Do not have technicians or installers make unnecessary trips for stocking, but instead, plan it around their dispatch schedule. ·
- Working with supply house on consignment inventory to make sure that the shop has all standard stock installation and service parts. · Tracking, maintaining, servicing, and distributing all company owned tools within all departments. ·
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and update Service Titan inventory system.
- Processing all warranty parts and warranty labor credits quickly. Following through to make sure that the company receives the credit quickly. · Keeping warehouse area neat and clean
- Managing all warehouse associates and coordinators.
- Obey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.
Skills
- Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officer
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
- A knack for negotiation and networking
- Working experience of vendor management software
- Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
- Solid judgement along with decision making skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
