Description
We are looking for a motivated and career-oriented Phlebotomist/ Medical Assistant to join our growing team! Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples. Carries out instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position. Works under supervision of the Office Manager.

Prepare equipment to efficiently collect blood products.
Perform venous, arterial and capillary punctures on patients.
Identify and label all samples collected with correct patient information.
Triage patients, take vitals
Assist Physicians
Verify insurance and schedule patient appointments.
Clean counters, draw chairs, and equipment daily.
Restocks supplies daily.
Prepares all samples for Reference Labs including bagging, signing off, creating manifest and processing for courier retrieval Maintain an accurate log of daily draws.
Notifies Technologist/Technician of all STAT samples to be performed.
Delivers reports to the Clinician as needed Maintains patient confidentiality.
Perform related work as requested by the Team Lead or Office Manager.
Current Certification in Phlebotomy Required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education in phlebotomy or related field preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Experience in a medical clinic preferred.
