What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Coastal Precast Systems, LLC?
We are currently seeking a reliable safety manager for our Wilmington, NC plant. As the safety manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with approved OSHA standards, internal policies and procedures, good engineering practices, and future preventive care. You will be responsible for conducting safety meetings, audits, inspections, and identifying corrective measures. You also will maintain a professional attitude with others and practice exceptional work ethic.
Job Responsibilities
· Dedication to promoting safe work practices and utilizing analytical skills to ensure compliance and reduce risks
· Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
· Evaluating practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
· Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
· Monitor compliance to policies by inspecting operations daily
· Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
· Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
· Work flexible schedule to adhere to production hours
· Demonstrate self-motivation
· Be a team player
Requirements:
· Minimum requirement NC OSHA 30
· Industrial/Construction Experience Preferred
· Valid Driver’s License
