Coastal1 Credit Union is seeking to hire a Teller for our Smithfield Avenue location in Pawtucket! The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background with cash-handling experience.
As the members first point of contact, our Tellers have a passion for developing member relationships while providing knowledgeable, courteous service. It doesn't stop there; the Teller plays a key role in helping members understand our products, services, and latest technology banking products through proactively assisting members in accessing products using self-service tools. Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior cash handling experience
- Previous customer service experience preferred

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that the teller station is ready to receive members, that the cash drawer is in place and that all cash is properly recorded.
- Process all member transactions accurately and promptly; these include withdrawals, deposits, check cashing, loan payments, treasurer checks, inquiries, and money orders. Perform transactions discretely and confidently.
- Ensure all Credit Union policies regarding transactions processing (e.g., number and type of ID’s) are fully carried out.
- Ensure compliance with Coastal1's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Policy and related procedures, Member Identification Program and Office of Foreign Assets Control screening and record keeping requirements.
- Utilize all opportunities to cross-sell products and services and to promote various Coastal1 products in a professional and positive manner.
- Must meet required sales goals on a consistent basis
- Prepare cash for the buying and selling of vault cash.
- Assist preparation of daily check deposit and scanning process.
- As applicable, perform operational and clerical duties involved with ATM proof.
- Maintain full awareness of other member services functions to be able to direct member to proper person/department.
- Settle cash drawer at end of business, research over/shorts as needed.
- Maintain professionalism during all interactions with members.
- Provide assistance to others and to other departments as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
