What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Layout position at Cobalt Civil?
BASIC FUNCTION
Site Layout provides general oversight, inspections, and quality control measures, implemented by Cobalt and the respective customer, for all aspects of a construction project. Site Layout provides the experience and ability to identify and implement a high standard of project execution and completeness of deliverables to represent Cobalt’s work in order to meet and/or exceed acceptable industry standards resulting in a quality product for our client(s).
Reports directly to the Director of Quality Assurance.
Requirements: The following are requirements of the position:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
•Jobsite layout with robotic total station
•Prior surveying skills
•Self-Disciplined and self-driven
• Required to have a thorough knowledge of site and personnel safety methods of construction activities, including personal protective equipment (PPE) and construction equipment safety operations
• Prior Surveying experience
• Precision Site Layout experience including total station / GPS
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Federal Occupational Health and Safety Standards (OSHA)
• Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
• Capacity to handle pressure
• Willingness to travel across the construction sites
• Physical and mental fitness to perform all roles of this job description
• Valid driver’s license
