Job Overview
The Communications Director will provide oversight and execution of internal communications at Coke Consolidated. This role will provide strategic counsel to company executives and develop messaging to creatively communicate our Purpose, people and portfolio, primarily with internal stakeholders. They’ll direct the planning and execution of measurable internal communications plans that build awareness and engagement with key company initiatives. The Communications Director will be comfortable simultaneously leading multiple communications projects, while supervising others, exhibiting sound decision-making and effectively setting priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads internal communications team focused on HR, corporate and operational communications objectives
- Designs enterprise-wide and market-level communications plans to reach frontline teammates and leadership audiences across 14-state footprint
- Develops messaging and communications strategies to create momentum for HR’s agenda
- Manages cross-functional teams to execute market-specific communications strategies
- Analyzes communications data to select and optimize internal communications channels
- Develops teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training, while embodying Coke Consolidated’s Purpose and values to inspire servant leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to develop communications plans with measurable objectives and corresponding messaging strategies and tactics
- Ability to recognize and analyze data that informs communications decision making
- Experience developing messaging strategies across multiple communications platforms
- Experience leading and inspiring cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
- 7 years corporate communications experience. Internal communications experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or Marketing
