  • Responsibilities :
  • Analyse on premises / Azure transactional database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, COSMOS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra evaluate and plan migrations to Azure
  • Develop / Enhance database PLSQL scripts / TSQL to migrate from source database to target database
  • Identity workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration
  • Develop test plan and testcases to demonstrate database readiness post migration
  • Document detailed design and migration steps for continued migration from Dev to Prod.
  • Cloud Migration, Azure, Architecture Principle Design, MongoDB, Migration Design, Azure - Migration, Kafka, Cassandra, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services), Migration Planning, Azure Administration (IaaS)
  • Database & Middleware Support : Senior Architect, Applications & Platforms

    • Requirements :

  • Masters / Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
  • 15 years of experience in database design / development / migration on Azure
  • Hands-on experience on Oracle, SQL Server, COSMOS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
  • Experience migrating Large databases 1TB in size across multiple database engines (e. g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, etc. )
  • Experience with heterogenous database migrations
  • Experience in performance optimization techniques
  • High end Troubleshooting and Communication skills
  • Scripting language (bash / Perl / python)
  • Experience in Database Administration, HA DR and Monitoring setup - backup / restore, replication, etc

    • Skills : Azure Migration, AZURE, Cassandra, MongoDB, PL / SQL, Architect, Oracle Database
