Proposals Manager

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced and driven Proposals Manager to lead the development and delivery of high quality proposals and tender submissions across a variety of sectors.

Location options: Athenry, Rathcormac, Belfast or Maynooth.

Definition

The person who is responsible for the production of the written elements of tender and pre-qualification submissions for Coffey. They will collaborate with various department and company team members to develop the excellent tender and proposals content to win projects.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for the quality of tender submissions
• Providing technical and non-technical input into pre-qualification submissions which demonstrates the company’s expertise, capability and experience
• Providing input into tender submissions to support the designers and estimators on technical and non-technical aspects of projects being tendered
• Managing the submission of all aspects of a tender where assigned the role of Submission Manager
• Identifying the various inputs required within a tender or pre-qualification submission and coordinating input from others, both within and outside the company
• Providing guidance to others in the Proposals Team and subject matter specialists regarding responses to narrative questions, such as previous experience, technical issues, project organisation structures and HSQE topics
• Managing tender and Pre Qualification documentation and record keeping
• Managing and maintaining the systems and libraries associated with the production of bid documentation
• Recording and analysing feedback on proposals submissions and managing initiatives for improvement
• Promoting continual improvement within the Proposals Team
• Recruitment and management of the personnel within the Proposals Team
• Supervise the management of the Tender Opportunities Register and assign work to team members.
• Being familiar with the Group’s HSQE Management Systems
  
  

About You

Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant construction discipline or equivalent experience
• Over 10 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry
• Understanding of the construction process through relevant construction experience
• Understanding of procurement processes through relevant experience
• Good technical writing skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude to workload and learning
• Willing to work in a collaborative manner with team members within the proposals team, tendering team and the wider company
• Be a team player, willing to work with a variety of subject matter specialists to create excellent tenders
• Have excellent communication skills to manage the proposals team and develop good relationships in the wider tendering team and company
• Be self driven and demonstrate a willingness to work on your own initiative, develop improvements and keep up to date with industry knowledge
• Able to manage work within fixed deadlines.
