Cognicare Psychological Services, LLC is a group private practice that is seeking an APN to provide culturally competent clinical assessments and medication management to individuals who are experiencing varying levels of distress due to life situations or mental health concerns.
CPS is committed to providing and maintaining the autonomy, control and financial benefits that many psychiatric APN's desire in a private practice setting, without the stress and hassle that comes with running a business. Working hours and scheduling is flexible, based on both client and CPS needs. APN is not guaranteed a minimum number of clients/sessions per week. Full case load is optional (if preferred) and CPS will assist in increasing APN's case load if/when it is their preference.
It is required that applicant holds a valid nurse practitioner license in the state of New Jersey.
It is required that applicant have prescriptive privileges in the state of New Jersey.
Compensation is based on experience/expertise and will be paid out bi-weekly.
Candidates must be independent and collaborative.
Must be able to become credentialed with commercial and Medicaid payors as necessary. (We will cover the expenses for your credentialing)
Current NJ Controlled Dangerous Substance Certificate (CDS) REQUIRED
Current US Dept of Justice Drug Enforcement Admin Certificate (DEA) REQUIRED
It is important to note that this is an Independent Contractor position (1099). You will be responsible for finding a collaborating physician and managing all aspects attaining your scripts (EHR's, prescription pads, etc.)

Essential Functions:
Provide clinical assessments and medication management
Works in collaboration with psychotherapy clinicians as a member of the interdisciplinary team
Maintains accurate records of clients treated
Maintains accurate daily records for billing purposes and submits in a timely manner as directed.
Manage a caseload for ongoing medication needs

Requirements:
-Current state of NJ license as nurse practitioner
-Willing to work at least 10 hours per week if part time & 20 hours per week if full time
-Ability to work some late afternoon, evening and/or weekend hours
-Bilingual clinicians a PLUS
-Additional certifications a PLUS
Required Education:
Masters degree minimum
Experience- 2-3 years post licensure preferred. At least 1 year of clinical experience required.
