Responsibilities:
- Design and code high quality work adhering to defined standards and design principles
- Build unit tests and ensure code coverage is met as per the agreed standards
- Assumes responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the team's work
- Hands on in AWS, Core Java.
- Provide Java and database solutions by studying existing technology architecture; analyzing browser compatibility techniques; evaluating solution alternatives; developing prototypes; and writing detailed technical requirements
- Champions a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instills the principles of this culture in a team.
- Ensures that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products optimally by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines
- Provides detailed and timely status updates to management
- Helps establish and improve development policies, procedures, and standards and implements their implementation upon their team of developers
- Updates technical knowledge by attending education, reading, networking, and joining professional groups
- Ensures quality and consistency throughout the architecture and implementation of the code base
- Acts as a highly proficient advisor to their manager, leads and team
Required Qualifications
- Skills: AWS, Core JAVA, Spring Boot, Microservice, No SQL, Oracle / SQL, Javascript
Must Have skill:
- Hands on in AWS. Should possess knowledge in migration related projects.
- Solid understanding in Core Java, spring boot, Micro services
- Should have experience working in docker and Kubernetes
- Expertise in API & Log integrations & customization
- Good Understanding of Proactive monitoring & Predictive Analysis, Defining KPIs & Metrics-business, system & Operations)
Good to have
- Kafka, Jira
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for the position is between $55,350- $82,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
