Location: Pomona, CA 91767

Pay: $20.00/hour (Time and a half for overtime!)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Overview Are you looking for a stable, hands-on role in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry? We are seeking a detail-oriented Reagent Assembly, Filling & Packaging Operator to join our CMI business unit in Pomona. In this role, you will be responsible for the precision assembly and filling of chemical reagents used in medical diagnostics. This is a dynamic position that involves setting up equipment, performing quality inspections, and maintaining meticulous documentation in a regulated GMP environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Precision Filling: Setup and operate Masterflex pumps, including volume calibration and verification to ensure accurate dispensing of reagents.
• Assembly & Packaging: Hand-assemble, label, and package medical products following detailed written work orders (no blueprints required).
• Quality Documentation: Complete detailed paper-based batch records, logs, and "shop floor" paperwork with 100% accuracy and legibility.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine technical troubleshooting, equipment setups, and minor repairs to ensure production lines run smoothly.
• GMP Compliance: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality System Regulations (QSR) to ensure product safety and traceability.
• Task Rotation: Flex between filling, labeling, packaging, and inspection stations throughout the shift to support team goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in 5S and Lean Manufacturing activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Hazardous Materials: Safely dispose of hazardous waste materials in designated areas following strict safety protocols.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in assembly, filling, or packaging (Pharmaceutical or Biotech preferred; Food manufacturing is acceptable).
• Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer skills (minimal Excel) and the ability to perform basic math calculations for volume verification.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on documentation accuracy—must be comfortable with handwritten logs and printed batch records.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift and lift up to 15 lbs.
• Communication: Ability to read, comprehend, and follow English work instructions and verbal directions.
• Teamwork: Professional behavior and a positive attitude when interacting with engineering, maintenance, and QC teams.
