Description
The Resource Specialist is responsible for coordinating information and referral activities. They will provide Center administrative assistance for membership activities and support to promote wellness and recovery for Community Center members. Center programs and activities encompass a wide range of peer supports and community services, including, but not limited to re-entry support services and hospital diversion intervention. The Center and its programs provide a safe place for homeless and vulnerable persons, as well as opportunities for individuals to address poverty and service needs.
Full-time: 40 hours p/w| Benefit Eligible including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays
Requirements
- High School diploma and relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
- Valid NJ drivers’ license with acceptable driving record is required.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are a must.
- Ability to manage crisis.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation model preferred.
- Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who have been trained to use their own life experience dealing with mental health or substance use challenges to inspire and support others.
- Must obtain their first dose of the primary series of a COVID-19 vaccination by their start date.
