Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Public Safety Officer located in Palm Desert, CA. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure campus environment, conducting regular patrols of premises, responding promptly to emergencies, and upholding law enforcement and safety procedures. The Public Safety Officer will also serve as a point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, ensuring compliance with campus security regulations while demonstrating exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Emergency Services and experience responding to and managing emergencies.
- Strong knowledge of Physical Security principles, including monitoring and securing facilities.
- Background or experience in Law Enforcement, with a solid understanding of relevant safety and legal protocols.
- Excellence in Customer Service to effectively communicate with students, staff, and the public to address security-related concerns.
- Familiarity with Public Safety standards and practices to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in related fields is an asset.
- Prior experience in a public safety or security role is preferred but not required.
