Preschool Co-Teacher

College Park Preschool is a highly respected preschool serving children ages 2 - 5. We are looking for qualified Early Childhood Educators to work in our preschool classrooms. Our ideal candidate is excellent at working with young children, is well versed in creating engaging learning environments, understands the concepts of an emergent curriculum, has conducted family conferences, has excellent communication skills, supports working with parents and the community, and is willing to try and learn new things.

Job Status:

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 am - 5:00 p.m.
• 12-month teaching position
• This position starts August 26, 2024
• Time off for all Federal Holidays, plus Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 Child Development / Early Childhood Education core units are required
• 2 years of preschool teaching experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

Works with a co- teacher to supervise, support and nurture children in a preschool setting; develop an engaging, emergent curriculum for their classroom; design an outdoor play based, loose parts learning environment; supports documentation for portfolios; and encourages parent participation in our Nature/Garden space. Additionally, this position requires experience working with children ages 2 - 5.

Salary:

• Hourly rate based on education and experience.
• 10 days PTO throughout the school year (full day staff)
