Military/Govt Experienced Construction Superintendent/SSHO and QC Manager

Collins Construction Services, Inc. seeks a Construction Superintendent/SSHO and QC Manager with military construction experience to manage multiple projects in the Columbus, GA (Ft. Benning) area. The ideal candidate will be able to conduct themselves in a professional and friendly manner and be a proactive, self-starter who possesses exceptional multi-tasking and communication skills, both oral and written. Construction supervisory experience on military installations is required. The ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks in order to operate effectively and safely, exhibit a high degree of flexibility, and to build strong relationships with other employees, contractors, and vendors is critical in order to accomplish tasks and achieve goals. The Construction Superintendent/SSHO and QC Manager ensures the project stays on schedule and is built to the approved plans. Applicants should have direct experience in commercial and industrial construction with working knowledge of means and methods of construction. Must have demonstrated analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and be effective at building collaborative relationships. Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field and passing pre-employment drug test required. Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Background in construction with at least five (5) years as a Superintendent/SSHO or QC Manager.
• Experience with commercial construction, developing sites, utilities, and infrastructure, local government services (including zoning and permitting), site layout, project start-up, and familiarity with sustainable design concepts.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Physical ability to complete duties and certified to run construction equipment.
• Must have well-developed interpersonal skills, such as ability to understand and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to effectively respond to requests and logically resolve problems.
• Proficiency using a computer and company communication tools, such as email, Internet, and Microsoft software (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Hold OSHA 30 hour, First Aid/CPR, and CQM certifications.
• Experience with EM-385, RMS, AHA Reporting (Activity Hazard Analysis, and worked as a SSHO.
