Job Purpose
The Project Coordinator supports Project Managers, Project Engineers and/or Superintendents by providing administrative tasks associated with change orders, expediting, shop drawing acquisition and review, contact with other contractors, contract revisions & documentation.
What You'll Do
- Generate computerized project schedules
- Create and update specialized project schedules and labor tracking sheets
- Organize final preparation of project submittals and verify approved submittals for conformity
- Oversee subcontractor/major material purchase orders
- Verify that all material, equipment, and tools are being ordered and arriving to proper job site
- Complete permit application and process
- Attend various meetings and take meeting minutes
- Follow up on any actions items from meeting agenda
- Maintain Change Order, Material Logs, and RFI logs
- Be current and knowledgeable of projects and Project Manager files
- Responsible for project close out procedures
- Perform additional assignments as needed
What You'll Bring
- Ability of drafting and editing contract documents utilizing appropriate software(s)
- Ability to produce and proofread for well written error free documents
- Possesses basic knowledge of construction terms, materials, methods and trades
- Ability to smoothly handle a variety of situations and problems
- Strong work ethic
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Excellent organizational and decision making/problem solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information
- Ability work on multiple projects while meeting required deadlines
- Proficient in Software/Computer programs and equipment
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Adobe Acrobat
- Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and/or administrative support experience (preferred) or three years of related experience in Construction Industry (preferred)
