What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Data Analyst position at ColonialWebb?
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Analyst / MES Engineer to support our manufacturing operations by managing data systems, optimizing MES (Manufacturing Execution System) functionality, and driving process improvements. This role is responsible for building and maintaining KPI dashboards across all manufacturing shops, collecting and analyzing data from machines and equipment, and supporting MES software configuration and integration.

A day in the life:
- Building and managing KPI data for all manufacturing shops
- Collecting data from various sources, such as machines and equipment
- Assisting with software configuration, integrating MES with other IT and automation systems, troubleshooting issues on the shop floor, providing user training, and helping gather requirements from manufacturing, IT, and quality teams
- Updating and maintaining standard operating procedures associated with the MES systems and processes
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards
You should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience in a related field
- Specialization or coursework in manufacturing systems, industrial automation, or process engineering
- Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience programming with VBA, SQL databases and/or Python
- Proficient with Excel and Power BI
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Bonus: Exposure to HTML or PLC programming environments
