Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of property management principles. This role involves assisting in the management of residential or commercial properties, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to residents and tenants.
Duties
- Assist in the management and oversight of property operations, including maintenance, leasing, and tenant relations.
- Maintain accurate records of property activities, including tenant communications and maintenance requests using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Coordinate property maintenance activities and communicate effectively with vendors and service providers.
- Support leasing efforts by conducting property showings, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for services related to property upkeep.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Assist in preparing reports on property performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management practices and principles.
- Familiarity with real estate administrative tasks is a plus.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to effectively negotiate terms with vendors and tenants.
- Understanding of laws related to property management and tenant rights.
- Proficient in using CMMS software for tracking maintenance requests and work orders.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
