Position Summary

The primary function of the Purchasing Administrator is crucial in maintaining the operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness of supply chain operations. This position is responsible for Purchasing, receiving, documentation, and vendor communication. The Purchasing Administrator ensures that all procurement processes are carried out in compliance with company policies and legal guidelines. The Purchasing Administrator plays a pivotal role in sourcing materials and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Full Purchasing cycle to Include:
  • Processing PO according to company policy.
  • Vendor follow up on all orders
  • Communication on all order tracking
  • Processing Inventory Receivers according to company policy
  • Receipt Audits
  • Administer monthly cycle counts
  • Assisting in Administering annual physical inventory
  • Ensure all Certificate of Compliance documents are obtained from vendors
  • Maintain COC library
  • Work productively and meet deadlines
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships with team members inside and outside of the organization

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated; capable of taking initiative, successfully handling, and prioritizing multiple competing assignments and effectively managing deadlines
  • A passion for working in a high-growth business at the pace and expectations of the culture
  • A passion for success, a positive and friendly attitude, and a consistent work ethic are all a must
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
  • A strong knowledge of the traffic control/construction industry is a major plus

Working Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Office Environment
  • Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; sit; and use their hands. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Minimum lifting requirement is 35lbs.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience involving purchasing/supply chain management.
  • CPSM or related Certification preferred
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
