POSITION INFORMATION

This is an unpaid/volunteer opportunity with the 10th Judicial District Probation Department in Pueblo. These positions are not eligible for benefits.

MISSION STATEMENT

Additional Comments

Our Intern Probation Officers are introduced to all duties of a probation officer. They write legal reports such as warrants, summons, terminations, extensions, and special reports. They shadow and mentor with Probation Officers in different types of caseloads to receive a well-rounded view of various populations within probation. They can attend Court hearings and attend trainings.

Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and can be flexible with your school/work schedule; however, we do ask that you have a set schedule with us and plan to intern approximately 10 hours per week with us.

Interns must agree to and pass a criminal background check. Please note this position is unpaid. We are accepting applications for summer and fall semester internships, please indicate on your cover letter which semester you are interested in.
