Expand your horizons in a “career-building” position as a member of The Women’s Imaging Center’s growing team of imaging professionals. Offering a full-time and/or part-time position for a registered mammography technologist. Weekdays only, no evenings, weekends or holidays. Experience in stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations and breast ultrasound given special consideration. Great benefits, salary based on experience.

Our fast-paced, patient-centered work environment requires the following:
- A strong working knowledge of patient positioning/technical factors.
- The ability to assess complex patient needs.
- Proficient communication skills with patients and co-workers.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 20lbs throughout the day.
- Practice good clinical decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Must meet ARRT(R)(M) requirements for exam counts and CME.
- Must have at least one year of experience with both screening and diagnostic mammography.
Qualifications/Requirements :
- Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Advanced practice Mammography certification required.
- Two - Three years of mammography experience.
- Familiarity with ACR / FDA accreditation practices and regulations required.
- Ability to accurately position the patient for imaging according to ACR standards.
- Utilize techniques to physically manipulate and apply accessories to produce desired images.
- Ability to select technical factors and operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images.
- Use of beam restricting devices, patient shielding, assessment and implementation of appropriate exposure factors to minimize radiation exposure.
- Basic computer literacy and applications for data entry and records maintenance.
- Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions.
- Maintain BLS certification
- Requires a high level of energy with the ability to adjust
- exhibit behavior which emphasizes quality, loyalty, conscientiousness, and professionalism.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective communication skills and working relationships with other staff members, physicians, patients, and their families.
