This position is responsible for on-site inspection of Commercial, Residential and Agricultural leases, both Tribal and individual land within the CRIR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

May include, but not limited to, the following: Inspection of leased premises as requested by Realty and/or RDC and preparation of written report along with photographs as necessary. May be required to attend RDC and TC for presentation of findings and recommendations for resolving issues, concerns or lease non-compliance. Must maintain schedule and record of routine inspections of homesite, agricultural and other leased areas. Where there is non-compliance must notify

Lessee, Lessor, Realty or other party setting out requirement to address the non-compliance. Will monitor to see that requirements are met. May be required to assist in resolving encroachment, flooding or boundary disputes between Lessors and Lessees and assisting other Tribal Departments in dealing with similar issues. Participates in follow-up actions and assistance to Lessors and Lessees in rectifying non-compliance issues. Work is diverse in nature and covers various leases and other land uses which require monitoring for compliance as well as lease status as to subleasing, trespass or carrying over. Cooperating with and assisting other Tribal Departments may be required in order to resolve disputes, clean-up, eviction or other problems. Contacts are made to coordinate preparation for clean-up, proposal of projects, to share information and presentation of reports.

Position requires thorough knowledge of federal BIA and Tribal, policies, procedures and regulations governing leasing and land use.

Must attend all meetings as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a valid driver's license. Two years applicable experience working on an Indian Reservation or in a federal position. Creative, organized, self-starter able to set priorities and manage on-going, multiple tasks; and able to work independently while using good judgement. Strong computer literacy including Windows, WordPerfect. and Excel. Good health to work in a hot climate outdoors.

Schedule:
