Colorado Youth Outdoors is a non-profit organization with a mission to build relationships through traditional outdoor recreation. Our 220 acre property includes 12 ponds and is the perfect setting for outdoor activities. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all families in our community to explore and learn about the outdoors.

Job Description: Facilities Coordinator – Full Time

Full Time with additional time for special events and on call duties

Pay Range: $22-$27/hour

Benefits: Paid Vacation – 401K match – Medical

Reports To: Facilities Director

Position Outline: This person will contribute by:

o Maintaining the property; buildings, land and water habitats, recreation areas and agriculture.

o Development and stewardship of relationships connected to the facilities and equipment.

o Improvement of the facility and maintenance projects including leading volunteer projects.

o Support with set up, during and tear down of fundraising events on and off CYO property.

Position Absolutes: This person will be:

o Enthusiastic in managing challenges using creative problem-solving solutions

o Counted on to get involved where necessary when gaps are identified and need filled

Position Needs: This person will have demonstrated experience in:

o Maintaining natural habitats, landscaped grounds and buildings.

o Working with mechanical systems, vehicles, tools, and equipment.

o Operation of heavy equipment including wheel loaders, boom lifts, tractors, backhoe, skid steer, etc.

o Operation of light equipment including riding/push lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, etc.

o Background and interest in farming and irrigation is strongly desired.

Position Responsibilities: This person will be held responsible for:

o Physical quality of the overall campus.

o Record keeping for grounds, agriculture, fisheries, buildings, and equipment.

o Roadway and trail maintenance, grading and sustainability.

o On call for emergency needs relating to the property.

o Equipment maintenance, repair, and storage.

o Building maintenance including janitorial services.

o Organization and staging of tables / chairs / setups for programming and events.

o Desire to further knowledge of specific facility needs.

o Support of Fundraising events and programs.

o Leading volunteer projects around the campus.

Skills necessary: This person will have:

o Efficient written and verbal communications skills.

o Computer skills in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook.

o Capability in lifting/moving heavy objects.

o Ability to work outside in various environments, potentially inclement weather events.

o Highly organized, task focused, and ability to prioritize.

o Confidence in evaluating and demonstrating initiative in problem solving.

o Flexibility in attending to other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Strong electrical knowledge, including the ability to read schematics and work with high voltage systems
- Experience in managing HVAC systems and mechanical equipment
- Ability to fabricate, install, repair, and maintain various equipment and systems
- Knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field

Skills:
