POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for leading and developing the reliability program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Works with Maintenance, Production & Engineering to ensure reliability and maintainability of new and modified equipment.
- Guides efforts to ensure reliability, maintainability, and failure elimination of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety systems.
- Defines, designs, develops, monitors, and refines a maintenance plan that incorporates:
- Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
- Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
- Develops solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. The problems include capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement training programs for Maintenance personnel.

Diversified work for which general objectives exist. Responsible for the coordination of projects or services within a department. Decisions involve interpreting complex data or refining work methods and techniques to be used. Expected to overcome all problems associated with area of responsibility. For problems of a wide scope, advice is sought from superiors.

Responsibilities
Financial Responsibility: None
Staff Responsibilities: No direct supervisory responsibilities. Provides assignment of work, instructions, and assistance to other employees within a work group or unit. May train on an informal basis, check work for accuracy, and provide input for performance appraisals and other enroll matters.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
- 5 years as a Reliability Engineer. Experience in a Maintenance role (Manager/Supervisor/Technician) preferred.
- Detail conscious
- Strong problem solving skills
- Presentation skills, good verbal, and written communication skills.
- Desire and ability to work in the field with mechanics and operators as necessary in response to urgent critical equipment troubleshooting
