Position : Community Support Specialist
Shift : On-Call. We ask that on-call's pick up at least 8 shifts a month.
Department : Residential (Cornerstone)
Salary Range : $21.54 / hour - $28.71 / hour. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Position Requirements : High school diploma / equivalency preferred and at least one-year experience working with individuals with mental health needs. Combination of education / experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.
Summary :
Provides direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and / or addiction issues who reside in the agency residential facilities. Community Support Specialists teach activities of daily living : housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance. Must have the knowledge / abilities to model appropriate interpersonal / vocational skills / behaviors. Able to deal effectively with high stress situations, handle unusual human behavior, resolve conflict. Reliable transportation, good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of current automobile insurance.
